Dr Andreas P. Moustris is a specialist Neurologist. He is affiliated with Athens Medical Group at Marousi (Iatriko Kentro Athinon) and runs a private practice in Melissia, Attica. He completed his undergraduate medical studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and subsequently undertook postgraduate training as a scholarship recipient of the Hellenic Neurological Society at University College London (UCL), completing the Master of Science in Clinical Neurology programme.
He specialised in the full spectrum of movement disorders at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (Queen Square, London), an internationally recognised centre for Neurology and movement disorders, where he received training in the therapeutic use of botulinum toxin (Botox, Dysport) for neurological disorders. His specialist training in Neurology was completed at the First Department of Neurology, University of Athens (Aeginition Hospital), and at the 251 General Air Force Hospital.
During his postgraduate training in London, he conducted research into movement disorders and mitochondrial diseases, contributing the relevant chapter to the Handbook of Clinical Neurology.
He has extensive clinical experience in botulinum toxin treatment (Botox, Dysport), particularly in the management of cervical dystonia, blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, other focal dystonias, chronic migraine, sialorrhoea and spasticity. Ultrasound- and electromyography-guided administration of Botox/Dysport is a central element of his therapeutic approach, enabling targeted treatment with a high degree of accuracy.
He is a member of the International Neurotoxin Association, the American Academy of Neurology, the European Academy of Neurology, the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society and the Hellenic Neurological Society.
